Use case · Kundli and horoscope apps

Build a kundli app without writing an ephemeris

Your users type a date, a time and a place; your app shows their chart, their running dasha and what the chart holds. The API does the astronomy and the rules, so your team builds the product.

  • Lagna, Moon sign, nakshatra and pada, and every planet's sign, degree, house and dignity
  • Vimshottari dasha: the period running now and every mahadasha with its start and end dates
  • The yogas and doshas found in the chart, each with the rule that forms it
  • Divisional charts such as the Navamsa (D9), and the Bhava Chalit house of each planet
  • Hindi names in Devanagari beside every English one

Step by step

How to build it

  1. Find the place

Call /places as the user types the birthplace. It answers with the latitude, longitude and time zone, which is all the chart needs to know about where.

  2. Compute the chart

Send the date, time and place to /kundli from your server. One call returns the whole chart, so a chart screen is one request.

  3. Store what you need

Keep the answer with your user's profile. A birth chart does not change, so you call again only when the person edits their details.

  4. Show the dasha today

The answer dates every period, so your app can say which one runs now without another call.

What it costs

An app where 600 new people make a chart each day, and each edits it once in a while

600 a day × 30 days, plus a few edits: about 20,000 calls in 30 days.

That fits the 25K plan, 25,000 calls for ₹599 ₹499 plus GST, the launch price until 31 January 2027. The price you start at is yours on every renewal.
