Rohini Vrat is the monthly vrat of the Jain tradition kept on the day Rohini nakshatra is current at sunrise, about every twenty-seven days, twelve or thirteen times a year. It is kept above all by women, for the family's harmony, and its worship is of Vasupujya, the twelfth Tirthankara.
Each Rohini Vrat is the day Rohini nakshatra is current at sunrise. When Rohini lasts less than a ghati, twenty-four minutes, past that sunrise, the vrat is kept on the day before, when Rohini began.
